John Taylor’s illustration appears to be centered on the group of Native Americans and the adult females in the chair along with the tree while. the adult male widening his arm is giving an reading of the pact. The civilization of the Anglo Americans in that epoch disregarded women’s sentiments. However. I believe that John Taylor’s word picture of the pact sign language overlooked the native adult females present because they were non a important factor of the sign language.
